Beochaoineadh (pronounced b-yoh-queen-eh) is an Irish word meaning a sad lament for a living thing.
This body of work by Aoife Billings engages with the Irish language, myths, the landscape, archaeology and family stories, Beochaoineadh is both an elegy and inquiry into contemporary Irish cultural re-learning.
